With over two decades of experience within the Creditreform association, Bernd has taken over as CEO in 2022, focusing on innovation, stability, and collaborative partnerships. His leadership is driven by a clear purpose: to protect businesses from payment defaults and enable sustainable, secure commercial relationships—a mission Creditreform has upheld for 145 years.

Bernd joined Creditreform in 2002 and served as Managing Director from 2009 to 2021. Throughout his tenure, he has been committed to positioning the Creditreform Group as a strong and future-ready organization. Under his guidance, Creditreform leverages robust economic data to assess business risks, identify market opportunities, and recover outstanding receivables—supporting the long-term success of over 162,000 member companies worldwide.

A personal priority for Bernd is the development of Creditreform’s ESG business segment, which focuses on evaluating companies’ sustainable practices. He firmly believes that transparency and accountability are key success factors for the future of the German economy.
