FEBIS-ACCIS Information Notice

On 11 February 2020, the President of ACCIS (Association of Consumer Credit Information Suppliers), Enrico Lodi, and the President of FEBIS (Federation of Business Information Services), Gertjan Kaart signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a framework for co-operation that will enable both associations to benefit from common activities in their respective strategies. Greater cooperation will also help both organisations pursue their respective goals and avoid any unnecessary duplication of work or inconsistencies.

The areas in which co-operation will be established are regulatory affairs, European affairs, affairs in relation to the International Committee of Credit Reporting - where both organisations are members - and any other matters commonly agreed.

In order to perform their co-operation, FEBIS and ACCIS agree to:

  • identify initiatives on which the associations could legitimately defend similar views by means of joint policy positions. To do so, the associations will organise quarterly calls.
  • organise and execute one yearly outreach visit with common messages and a focus on policymakers but also other stakeholders, like financial services / SMEs consumer associations, etc.
  • do promotion of both associations’ public congresses / conferences and offer reciprocal benefits to the members of the other association to attend those events.

In essence, this MoU represents the commitment of both ACCIS and FEBIS to work together for the benefit of their respective members.
